Why do you need a buying service?

 

Here in the UK, the home buying experience is nearly always geared towards the seller. The seller is the one who instructs the estate agent and because that agent is working for them, they hold the power. 

I turn this on its head by working exclusively in the interests of my buyer. I can help you to navigate what can be a complex and time-intensive transaction, and could save you time and money in the process.

How it works

1. Discovery session

We will have an initial chat for me to find out exactly what you’re looking for. As well as the core information such as size of property, location and budget, we’ll discuss your lifestyle and what you want your new life in Horsham to look like. This helps me to understand what is really important to you.

2. Property search 

I will search the area to find properties that match your brief – often homes which are not even on the market yet. As well as removing some of the tedious admin for you, I can also target specific areas or homes that you would like to live in, with a direct approach. 

3. Property viewing

I accompany you for any viewings, to give an expert and impartial assessment of the home. For people who are moving to the area, it can be frustrating to have to keep returning for individual viewings on different days, so I aim to book these all for the same day where possible. After seeing all properties I will take you to a local cafe or pub where, just like Kirsty and Phil, we can talk through the options.

4. Negotiation

Negotiating a great deal on your home can be tricky – often we get emotionally attached and pay more than we want to. The benefit of having me as your buying agent is you’ll have an expert on your side who is neutral, and therefore able to negotiate the best deal, often several thousand pounds less than if doing this yourself.

5. Keeping you on track

I will be on-hand to help with any advice during the home buying process. I work with your conveyancer, surveyor, lender, removals company and any other interested parties to ensure a smooth process all the way to moving day. Welcome to your new home!
